King For BMW
King for BMW – Bring it On!
With King engine bearings in the rotating assembly, your BMW engine is ready for all the torque, horsepower and RPM range you need to drop jaws and finish first.
Highly modified BMW engines can suffer from issues such as low oil pressure and oil starvation, which can cause premature rod and/or main bearing failure. Additionally, the greater loads and increased cylinder pressures can easily fatigue “street duty” engine bearings, again leading to premature failure.
King Engine Bearings offers superior engine bearing choices designed to outperform anything available in the market today. Our advanced technology bearing materials and constructions enable every high-end BMW engine builder to achieve the performance his clients demand and the reliability they require. Whether for all-out racing competition or combination street/strip ego indulgence, King has the right bearing for every requirement.
SV/GPC – New Material for Extreme Loads
King’s new silver based SV and GPC tri-metal material handles 17,000 PSI compared to available race materials that peak at 11,000 PSI. SV and its polymer coated version, GPC, feature an intermediate lead-bronze layer over steel, topped by a silver overlay containing solid lubricant particles. GPC’s polymer coating helps protect the bearings in case of oil starvation and metal-to-metal contact. See the application chart in this brochure for current SV and GPC coverage.
King Polymer Coatings – No Added Thickness!
Unlike conventional coatings, King factory applied polymer coatings maintain original wall thickness. Need 0.026mm extra clearance on a STD crank? No problem, order STDX ! And you can mix STDX shells with STD if needed to reach the exact clearance you want. King SV, XP, XPC and GPC bearings are the key to reliable high-performance BMW engines.
